Heat Pump Installation Built Around Your TMLP Rebate
Many Taunton, Raynham and Berkley homeowners learn late that Mass Save does not cover their electric account. Their power comes from TMLP, one of the state's municipal light plants, and the plant pays its own heat pump rebate through its own approved contractors.
We plan each TMLP heat pump installation to fit that rebate's rules, from the equipment we choose to the forms we file. One company stays on the job from the estimate visit to the day the rebate check arrives.
"Before I talk zones or price, I need your utility provider. If it's TMLP, that's the rebate we build the job around."
Our owner

Ductless Mini-Split Installation
We install single-zone and multi-zone ductless mini-splits in TMLP homes. Each room you want to heat and cool gets its own indoor unit.
Heat Pump Installation
Our whole-home heat pump installation lets a TMLP customer retire an oil, propane or electric baseboard system for good.
Heat Pump Servicing
After startup, heat pump servicing for systems we installed books through our Taunton office.
What Your TMLP Install Can Earn in 2026
Heat Pump Rebate, $1,250 per Ton
Every ton of heat pump we install earns $1,250 under TMLP's 2026 program, up to $5,000. Tons count at 12,000 BTU each, so a 2-ton system brings back $2,500.
Income-Eligible Rebate, $2,250 per Ton
Qualifying low- and moderate-income households earn $2,250 per ton, up to $9,000, on whole-home and partial-home installs. Mention it on the first call, and we quote with that rate in mind.
Insulation Help, Half the Cost
TMLP pays half the cost of the insulation and air sealing your energy assessment recommends, up to $3,000. Some homes need a repair before insulation can go in, such as updating old wiring. TMLP covers half of that work as well, up to $2,000.
Smart Thermostat Credit, $100 Each
A smart Wi-Fi thermostat we install with your heat pump earns a $100 credit on your TMLP bill. Apply within six months, for up to two per account.
Book a TMLP-Approved Heat Pump Installer
Our heat pump installers confirm your TMLP account, size the system to your rooms and quote the rebate before you sign. Call (774) 433-1398 for a free in-home estimate on TMLP heat pump installation in Taunton, Raynham or Berkley.
How We Handle Your TMLP Rebate
It Starts With a No-Cost Energy Assessment
TMLP pays a heat pump rebate only after a home energy assessment. Energy New England runs it at no cost to TMLP customers, and we ask about yours on the first call. Any insulation it recommends has to happen within six months of the install, before or after.
We File the Installer Form After Startup
Once your system is running, we send TMLP the post-install quality form with the equipment details. Your part is the short TMLP Saves application online. Pre-approval only matters if you plan to use the zero-interest loan.
A Rebate Check Within Six to Eight Weeks
After TMLP approves our form, the rebate usually arrives by mail as a check within six to eight weeks. Questions along the way come straight to us at (774) 433-1398.
8 Reasons TMLP Homeowners Trust Us
Listed on TMLP's Participating Contractor List
The plant only pays when the job is done by an installer on its participating contractor list. Abode Energy Management, the program's administrator, keeps that list. Our company is on it for ducted and ductless heat pump work. That keeps your TMLP heat pump rebate eligible from the first day.
Mass Save Heat Pump Installer Network Enrolled Contractor
Mass Save keeps its own list of installers for its rebates, and our company is on the October 2026 version. That matters in Taunton whenever a home qualifies for Mass Save instead. Only a listed installer can file that claim.
Nation's First MRCOOL® Franchisee
We were the first MRCOOL® franchise in the country. We know which MRCOOL® models are on Mass Save's qualified product list, which TMLP also uses. We check yours before you sign, and that model is the one we install.
R-32 and R-454B Equipment on Every Job
The program stopped paying rebates on R-410A systems installed on or after January 1, 2026. Older R-410A stock does not qualify. Every system we install uses R-32 or R-454B refrigerant. Both are the newer refrigerants the program now requires.
Electrical Work Included
Our installation price includes the wiring the heat pump needs. On a TMLP job, that keeps the invoice simple, with one total for equipment, labor and electrical work.
Rebate Paperwork Handled
The TMLP Saves application asks for the equipment details and the invoice. We hand you both together after the install, so the application takes minutes instead of a search through paperwork.
Based Inside TMLP's Service Territory
Our warehouse on West Britannia Street sits inside the plant's own service territory. Raynham and Berkley homes are a short drive away, and when a question comes up after the install, the people who answer it work down the road.
Installing in Taunton-Area Homes Since 2020
We opened in October 2020 and have installed heat pumps in Taunton-area homes ever since. The systems we put in stay ours to support. If one needs a look later, the crew that installed it comes back to it.
Our Financing Options for TMLP Homes
TMLP customers can cover what is left after the rebate with a zero-interest loan. Loans run up to $25,000 over as long as seven years, through participating local lenders. We help you file the pre-approval form before your install date. Gas-heated homes use Mass Save's 0% HEAT Loan instead.
Peach Heat and Cool Installs in Every TMLP Town
Local Heat Pump Installers for TMLP Homes
We install heat pumps in every town TMLP powers. That means all of Taunton, Raynham and Berkley, plus the TMLP streets of Dighton, Lakeville and Bridgewater. In those three shared towns, your electric bill tells us which rebate applies.
Neighboring towns such as Mansfield and Middleborough run their own plants, and our municipal light plant rebate guide covers them too.
TMLP Heat Pump Installation FAQs
Yes. Gas-heated homes in Taunton claim Mass Save rebates through their Eversource gas account. Eversource supplies Taunton's gas and sponsors Mass Save, so for those homes we file with Mass Save instead of TMLP. Oil, propane and electric baseboard homes go through TMLP Saves.
No. TMLP has no separate heat pump or time-of-use rate as of October 2026. The system we install runs on your current residential rate. The 5% discount for paying on time still applies.
Yes. TMLP runs a Multi-Unit Dwelling Pilot for buildings with two to four units. It pays $1,250 per ton, capped at 2 tons per unit, and needs TMLP's pre-approval before we start work.
Yes. The MRCOOL® systems we install are on NEHPA's product list, and NEHPA's rules let homes in municipal light plant towns qualify. Its $650-per-unit discount stacks with your TMLP heat pump rebate.
TMLP compares an IRS tax return transcript, no more than a year old, against the state's income chart. It may also accept proof of fuel assistance. Household size moves the limit, so check the chart before ruling yourself out.
Work usually starts within about two weeks of a signed quote, and a one- or two-zone system is often done in a day. New homeowners should know TMLP wants an account open at least six months before it pays.

What Homeowners Say About Peach Heat and Cool
We were intrigued by the concept of a heat pump and sat down with Dave who explained the whole concept to us. He was passionate in his description and you could tell he wasn't selling us on the idea, just speaking about something he was passionate about. Fast forward, and we love our heat pump, and instant jump to central air due to the nature of how it just works. Absolutely get one, and absolutely get it here.
Kevin Rego I had a great experience with Peach Heat and Cool. They were punctual, clean, and very professional throughout the entire process. What really stood out was how they went above and beyond to resolve my issue — they contacted Mr. Cool directly, handled everything with the warranty, and ordered the necessary parts at no cost to me. The labor rate was also very reasonable and affordable. It's rare to find a company that’s this honest and efficient. Highly recommended!
Sandro Silva Dave was a pleasure to work with through our heating and cooling installation. The Peach Heat and Cool install team went above and beyond to ensure we had as little disruption to our interior as possible, they installed through the walls and attic flawlessly. Dave was knowledgeable, punctual, and personable from start to finish. My husband and I appreciated how considerate Dave was to our tenants during the install process, our tenants provided Dave and team a 5 star review as well!
Jackie Sheehan Dave Peach was so great to work with! He installed a heat pump HVAC system and heat pump hot water heater in our Dorchester condo. He helped us navigate the Mass Save loan and rebate processes, and was very responsive as questions came up. The work he did was excellent, including fixing some janky ductwork the developer left us with from the original HVAC install. He was courteous and professional at every step, and did it all at half the cost of other Boston companies offering comparable services. I definitely recommend Peach Heat and Cool!
